Implementations of Computer Hardware and Software
Computer Hardware
Computer Hardware refers to the actual physical parts of a computer like the processor (CPU), memory (RAM), Hard Disk Drives or Solid State Drives (HDD/SSD), and other computer peripherals like a keyboard, webcam and etc.. Pattersson and Hennessy (2020), and Tanenbaum and Austin (2013) both mentioned that the different hardware parts work together store, transfer and process information with one another. Additionally, Stanford University and NC State University also described how the CPU, RAM and hard drives interact together to make a computer function and allow efficient usuability for us.

Another important factor that the IEEE Computer Society (2023) showed is how modern hardware design is improving every year that computers are becoming more and more faster and more energy efficient. Overall, Computer Hardware is an important structure that allows software to run, and allow people to do tasks like studying, gaming, and innovating new technologies. All of this continues to develop the growing needs of our everyday life.
Software and its Types
As mentioned by Forward et al. (2008) and Glass (1992), software can be grouped into types which are:
  • System Software, again controls what the hardware does.
  • Application Software, helps users complete certain activities like writing, drawing, or browsing the web.
This shows that software is just as important as hardware because it allows the computer to be given a purpose on what to do rather than be a brick of random metal components. As new technology are being innovated, new software will continue to make our lives easier.
Implementations in the Community
Institutions and communities use computer hardware and software not only to improve the way they work and serve people, but to efficiently do so in the process. UNESCO (n.d) mentioned how computers are being utilized in schools so that learning becomes more interactive and accessible for the students.

Additionally, the Council on Library and Information Resources (n.d.) showed how computers and digital systems help people navigate and access certain information, and allow them to connect online. Altogether, the different implementations of hardware and software in the different sectors of our society show that technology plays an important role in education, health, and public services.
